This is a brake pad wear warning contact engineered as a direct OE-style replacement. The sensor wire is bedded into the pad-facing surface of the moulded plastic body; once the brake pad wears down to its minimum thickness the wire is severed by the disc, opening the warning circuit and illuminating the pad-wear lamp on the dashboard. The connector is pre-fitted with the OE-spec plug for immediate installation.
